The 2025 Superyacht Challenge Antigua pre-regatta briefing set the stage for an exciting competition. Ahead of the main series, a stand-alone race will take place on Thursday, March 6, where competitors can choose between a 48nm course around Antigua or a 28nm route off the South Coast. The first start is at 0900 AST, with details on the Official Notice Board.
PRO Hank Stuart welcomed participants, introducing captains and safety officers. A presentation by Bob Osborn & Bob Farley highlighted fundraising efforts for the IYRS Antigua Scholarship Program, supporting local students in marine trades. Donations can be made here.
Shirley Robertson of SYRA praised the event’s strong momentum and dedication to safety, fair racing, and enjoyment. International Judge Gordon Stredwick reviewed rule updates and safety protocols, urging competitors to engage with the protest committee for clarity.
Johnathan Cornelius and the ABSAR team will provide safety support throughout the event. Closing the briefing, Stuart reaffirmed the regatta’s mission: a safe, fair, and fun competition.
